Abandon Road Works

How often do you pass road works where the speed limit is reduced to 40kms to protect the workers on the site only to find that they have all packed up and gone home. In my area at the moment there has been works on the side of the road now for at least 3 months without any further improvements. The signs to slow down to 40kms are still up but there has not been a worker there for months. Or on the Princes freeway heading inbound there were often signs advising us to slow down to 60kms and a lane closure to protect well nothing there was no-one to be seen. This is when I thought it would be funny to photograph abandon road works. However the downside is that each time I saw this I didn't have a camera on me or was in a hurry to get somewhere so I never actually captured any photos but i think this is a project I will work on oneday.
