Two weeks after the Footscray trip and I still haven't blogged about it so I may as well mention it now. The task was to search for circles. It turns out there are circles everywhere you look. Apart from some drizzle when I first arrived the weather seemed to hold out. The images I like the most from this exercise include a photo of two different fire hydrants, an ashtray (an idea I may explore for my folio), images of the now closed royal hotel (I had an old patron of the hotel give he a bit of history as I took photos) and also the reflection of the street in a mirror. I think I like the idea of typology for my folio i am still tossing up on a few subjects like ashtrays. The attraction with an ashtray is that it usually provides a limited pallet (however this will not be an issue if I decide to shoot i black and white) Pubs/buildings of a particular era. I will be going into melb on monday so I am hoping to capture more images then. Fingers crossed I get some inspiration. When I get home I will upload some images from this footscray trip, I'm not going to do it now as the photo file sizes are to large and I don't want to use up my uni internet allowance. (I need to learn how to reduce the photo sizes in photoshop so I can start to display more images more efficiently online.
